Dear Neighbour

The Bloomsbury Research Institute is consulting on proposals for the development of a new and exciting health research facility in Tavistock Place.

The Institute is a unique partnership between two prominent institutions, UCL and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and will work with partners in the UK and worldwide. It will conduct cutting-edge research focused on the most important global challenges in infectious disease, including antibiotic resistance.

The proposed new facility would provide custom-built, well-resourced laboratories housing over 200 leading scientists collaborating across various disciplines. The Bloomsbury Research Institute will accelerate the development of new treatments for the prevention and control of infectious diseases to save lives worldwide.

The proposed development would take place
within the confines of the existing London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s building at 15-17 Tavistock Place.
